Pat and Kiersten were married a few weeks ago at Our Lady of the Angels Parish with a reception at the Sheraton Station Square in Pittsburgh. We met up with Kiersten and her girls at the Sheraton as she was beginning her wedding day prep. Kiersten was such a calm bride. She really was able to enjoy her time with her bridesmaids and mom as they all celebrated with champagne and helped her into her wedding dress. Not to be outdone, Pat MADE his own bowtie and the boutonnieres for all of the groomsmen out of FEATHERS! Be sure not to miss them they were amazing, and so unique!
The ceremony at the beautiful Our Lady of Angels Parish was traditional and elegant, the perfect way to culminate the joining together of this great couple who have been together for 10 years. Kiersten looked stunning walking down the aisle to Pat on the arm of her father.
Afterwards, the plan for portraits had been to go to Mount Washington, but with the rain (oh, Pittsburgh!) we quickly made a backup plan and headed for Point State Park where we knew we could duck under the large covered bridge in the center of the park. Everyone stayed dry and we were able to capture the entire bridal party along with some portraits with extra pretty rainy day light – win! Kiersten had mentioned to us that all she wanted on her wedding day were a few portraits with fall color, and boy did Point State Park deliver! We took advantage of a small group of trees that were blazing orange, the last ones of the fall before heading back over to the Sheraton. We love the view of the city from Station Square, and Pat and Kiersten were up for some more portraits in the rain, so it all worked out perfectly!
The reception room was at the back of the hotel, facing the city, so it had great city views as well, making it the perfect Pittsburgh venue, especially for out-of-town guests. We wrapped up the night with toasts and dancing, the perfect ending to Pat and Kiersten’s wedding day. Congratulations again guys! We loved being a part of your day!!
